Humboldt Disposable Vapes (And DIY Alternatives)

Have you ever wondered how to make weed oil for vapes? Today we’ll be talking about one of the best THC vape oil pens on the market right now, and also show you how to make THC oil for your own vaporizer.

One of our favorite disposable vape pens is by the brand Humboldt; the marijuana vapor oil pen by this company is like no other. The technology and science that has gone into them truly lets them stand apart by offering specific dosing and perfectly formulated cannabinoid and terpene mixtures. With all of the pens, after a couple seconds of inhaling, a vibration will inform you that you’ve taken in a perfect 2.25mg dose. Many patients find themselves frustrated with the lack of knowledge concerning how much THC you get with every puff of a vape cartridge, so this does away with that issue. Humboldt also circumvents the short shelf life of disposable pens, by filling it with enough oil to last at least 200 doses, often closer to 250.

Humboldt offers a strong variety of medicinal effects. The Bliss pen offers a sativa effect. It holds a 9:1 ratio of THC to CBD and includes terpenes that hold anti-cancer, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-anxiety properties. The Calm pen harnesses the anti-anxiety and anti-pain power of CBD with a high CBD to THC ratio. The terpenes complimenting the oil offer calming and slightly sedative effects with an overall mellow, minimally psychoactive high. The Relief Pen holds a 2:1 ratio of THC to CBD, providing strong pain relief for minor to moderate body pain. The Sleep pen has a high THC content, with an 8:1 ratio of THC to CBD and terpenes to support sedative effects, this pen is perfect to help you dose off at night. The Arouse pen also has a high THC to CBD ratio, but with terpenes such as Linalool and Farnesene present, the sensation stimulation is strong. Coupled with cerebral and muscle relaxation, this is the perfect pen to put you in the mood. The Passion pen has a similarly high THC to CBD ratio.  With Myrcene and Limonene’s strong presence, the euphoric and relaxed sensation is meant to create a heightened sexual experience.

These disposable pens are pricey, but the incredible specificity they offer is unparalleled. If you’re looking for a precise and discreet way to medicate, Humboldt disposables may be the best fit for you.

If you’re not looking to spend a lot of money on a branded vaporizer, have you ever thought about DIY options on how to make thc oil for vape pens? Marijuana vapor oil can be made from vegetable glycerin tinctures – yes that’s right, as long as you make the cannabis glycerin tincture correctly, you can vape tinctures that you make at home.

In this next section, we’ll talk about the glycerin tincture method of how to make cannabis oil for vape pens, a shatter/wax method for how to make hash oil for vape pens, and how to make thc oil for your e-cig as well.

For cannabis glycerin tincture vapes, you’ll want to gather all the following materials: 2 ounces of vegetable glycerin, 5.5 ounces of high quality (top-shelf) cannabis flowers, a crockpot, sealable glass jars, cheesecloth, a funnel, rubber bands, and latex gloves.

If you haven’t done so already, you’ll need to decarboxylate your cannabis flowers which converts the THCA compound to THC. To do this, grind your cannabis and spread it on a baking sheet, then put the ground flowers into your oven at 240 degrees to bake for about 50 to 60 minutes (Make sure to pre-heat your oven while you’re grinding).

After the conversion process is done, mix the decarboxylated cannabis and vegetable glycerin in one of your sealable glass jars. You’ll want to seal the jar and shake the glass to mix up as much of the glycerin and cannabis as possible.

Next, place a small folded towel at the bottom of your crockpot and fill it about halfway full with water. Turn the crockpot on the lowest setting (warm is good, but never use high heat), and place inside your glass jar with the glycerin and cannabis mixture. Close the lid of your crockpot and let the jar sit for about 18 to 24 hours, making sure to open the crockpot and shake the jar every few hours.

After the waiting period is over, take out your jar and let it sit in room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes. Once the jar has cooled down enough, open the lid and secure your cheesecloth over the top with your rubberband. Place your funnel over another glass jar, and begin pouring the cannabis and glycerin mixture into the new jar. Now you have an infused glycerin tincture that can be put into your vaporizer tank and vaped like you would any store-bought cannabis vape pen.

For hash oil vapes, you’ll want to start with a gram of high-quality cannabis concentrate like shatter, a ceramic bowl, wax paper, a spoon, and a bottle of EJMix.

Flatten your concentrate in the ceramic bowl using your spoon, making sure to lay the wax paper between your spoon and concentrate so they don’t stick to each other. Next, melt the shatter by placing the ceramic bowl in a luke-warm water bath. Once the shatter is melted down, add about 30 drops of EJMix and stir until the concentrate is evenly distributed into the liquid. The mixture will turn into a honey consistency when finished, and you’ll be able to put this into your vape pen or e-cig to use as a DIY cannabis vaporizer.
